Kusto: Boardtrack Racer From The 1920s

Fabrication Design

The Kusto is a custom bicycle built to look like a 1920s boardtrack racer. Much of the styling comes from the Indian motorcycles of the era. The bike was first designed on the computer using Cinema 4D. The faux engine is a steel plate cut out by hand with found objects added to give a sense of depth and realism. The lettering on the tank was also painted by hand. The bike is 100% rideable and really turns some heads. This gallery shows my process start to finish. Click on any of the images to enlarge.
